About Evolver One:

Evolver is leading the way to make a stand for
positive social, political and environmental change
through music and action. The effort called “Project
Evolution“ aims to invigorate and motivate South
Africans to join the mission.
Evolver is willing to take the responsibility to go
where no South African band has dared to go in order
to promote:.
Political optimism for South Africa South Africa's
duty to lead the continent of Africa Motivation of
South Africa’s youth to act Protection of the South
African environment The vision of South Africa’s
bright future.
Evolver has released two chart topping albums to
date and completed an astounding 15 national tours.
Headlining and performing at countless major South
African music festivals, most notably MyCokeFest and
Coke Zero Fest..
Evolver has shared the stage with international acts
such as Oasis, Snow Patrol, 3 Doors Down, Panic at
the Disco, Stained, Hooberstank and Evanescence.
Originally formed in Port Elizabeth in 2001 the band
moved to Johannesburg mid 2005 to pursue their music
career in a highly professional capacity. The newly
independent rockers have since enjoyed a dramatic
rise in air play and album sales and have become a
fixture on the South African music scene.

Band Members of Evolver One:
Peter Pote – Vocals and Guitars Peter, the band’s
primary songwriter and guitarist has been a musician
since his early teens. He is a seasoned vocalist and
has been called “Quite possibly the best voice in
South African Rock” by FHM Magazine..
Sean Murphy – Keys and Backing Vocals Sean, keyboard
player, backing vocalist and songwriter, has been
the catalyst for the bands eclectic sound and
vibrant “Live” performances. Sean brings incredible
energy and dynamic vision to each aspect of
Evolver..
Tulsa Pittaway – Drums and Percussion After seven
years with the platinum selling band Watershed and
with numerous European tours under his belt, Tulsa
decided it was time to move on and explore his rock
n roll roots. He joined Evolver at the beginning of
2007 bringing a wealth of experience into the band..
James Cohen – Bass guitar James joined Evolver in
May 2006, his brilliant bass playing adds the funk,
which is Evolver’s rock ‘n roll signature. He
continually adds a new dimension to each and every
moment, expanding the “danceablity” of each track..

Evolver One Bio:
Evolver One is one of South Africa's premium rock
bands having completed 17 national tours; performed
over 500 shows; & played just about everyone one of
SA's major music festivals & events, from charity
performances to performing to 27 000.Evolver One
have shared the stage with many international greats
such as 3 Doors Down, Stained, Hooberstank, Snow
Patrol & Oasis.
Evolver Ones'debut album, Get Up (2006 )achieved
critical & commercial success. It produced a number
of hit singles & music videos. Songs such as Lets
Get Naked, Get Up, Closer to You & Keep on Moving
did especially well. In 2008 the four piece release
their second album What’s The Story? & songs such as
Go All The Way, Pretty Thing & Why We Lonely hit the
SA charts.
2010 has brought a new sound,focus & name to the
band, now Evolver One,previously known as Evolver.
The bands international touring plans have spurred
on a change to the bands name. Evolver One have come
together internally to take their philosophy of One
to the world through their music & actions. This new
branding has been executed all without losing the
raw, powerful, edgy sound that has brought them
their current level of success. The band have a
strong voice to tackle more relevant topics for the
day & age that we are living in.Pushing themselves
out of their comfort zones,they are spreading the
word of optimism.
The latest self titled album from Evolver One
(2010)has been the talking point in the South
African music industry, with songs such Criminal,
Move Along &The World’s Gone Crazy having been play
listed on prominent radio stations, & is the
soundtrack to the movie The Race-ist.The independent
rocker’s signed international hit-maker Nathan
Winkler as their producer for this abum,who’s worked
with siblings Natasha & Daniel Bedingfield.Winkler
has had great success in the UK & internationally &
Evolver One's charting single "Are We Listening?"
was Winkler's first effort with the band.
