For many years Connie performed in theatre shows such as The Blues Brothers, Rocky Horror Show, Girl Talk and Feeling Groovy, being musical director for many of these, including the Buddy Holly show That’ll be the Day”. She was nominated for a Naledi Award (best musical director) and is proud have performed with Neill Solomon opening for Jo Cocker and at Nelson Mandela’s 80th Birthday Party alongside Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder. Connie also plays awesome sax!
Hotline, Cinema, Denim, Margaret Singana, Steve Kekana and Amapondo are just a few of those he has played with, performing around the world and entertaining Royalty, Sheiks, Clergy and Presidents - making Larry one of the busiest and most respected drummers in South Africa. Larry has not only played on more than two hundred albums, he has no less than thirteen gold records to his name. Add to all of this a career as a professional drumming teacher since the age of 18 and it is easy to understand just how good he is!
After playing professionally for 15 years in the late seventies, the eighties and the early nineties, Stuart stopped performing in favor of managing artistes and staging events.
After almost two decades building a business, he decided it was time to start performing again and contacted his old mates from so many years earlier and asked if they want to have some fun. The result is No Quarter…and the rest is going to be history….
In the Eighties “we all played in different bands together”. Well, thats where (and when) we met Pete and he gained his experience, like the rest of us, playing the gruelling club circuit in eighties South Africa. Three sets a night, six nights a week month after month…and we all loved it!! Pete took time out to build a business but never really stopped performing. A tasty, stylish guitarist with almost four decades of experience, he now lends his talents to being one of the bunch of mates we call No Quarter
