Shim Sham is the perfect band for a celebration, be it a corporate, wedding or a private event. Our repertoire spans most eras, from Jazz to Pop favourites including current hits. We can tailor make the music to suit your event with ease. Shim Sham morphs seamlessly between being an authentic Jazz band as well as a top-class Pop band.
The level of musicianship in this band is of the highest quality with all musicians being well respected and experienced, with performances at the annual SA Cheese Festival, Qualite Awards, Hazendal Jazz Series, The Crypt, Jazz on the Rocks. Shim Sham works with top quality corporate clients including Oasis Group, Agri Expo, Man Bus company, Sun International and espAfrika. Sham Sham is easily adaptable to all environment including weddings, having worked with top event planners in Cape Town.
Our standard line-up is a 4-piece band comprising of Bev Scott-Brown (vocals), China (vocals and drums), Andrew Ford (keyboards) and Wesley Rustin (double & electric bass). If you would prefer a bigger stage option, the band can increase in size to include a brass section, guitar or a string section, depending on budget.
