Bev Scott-Brown is a hidden vocal gem. She holds a BMus from Wits University in Johannesburg and has lived in Cape Town since graduating.
Her jazz experience saw her performing on major stages in South Africa with the Jonny Cooper Orchestra. She is the producer of the GrandWest Open Mic Jazz Singing Competition as well as the CTIJF “espYoungLegends” competition.
Her longstanding professional musical career has seen her performing at elite Cape Town venues & events including The Cape Town International Jazz Festival, Kirstenbosch Sunset Concerts, Theatre on the Bay, Spier, Cape Talk’s Moonstruck, Oude Libertas Theatre, The Mount Nelson Hotel, Pigalle Restaurant. She has performed as lead singer for top pop bands including Late Final, Long Street Band, Blaze and now has her own event band, Shim Sham.
She has released an album, “It’s the Little Things” which is available on all major streaming platforms.
